The lens provides the convenience of handling many photographic scenes and the capability of shooting ultra wide-angle to ultra telephoto shots without changing lenses. Tamron uses three hybrid aspherical lens elements and two LD (Low Dispersion) glass elements to achieve effective compensation of on-axis and lateral chromatic aberrations, a critical factor that enhances the optical quality of digital photography. Systematic countermeasures against ghosting and flare, annoying factors in digital photography, are also adopted with new technologies such as “Internal Surface coatings” and new multiple-layered coating technology for ordinary elements. In addition, the Minimum Focus Distance is 45cm (17.7") so you will be able to enjoy close-up (macro) photography of 1:3.7 at a 200mm setting. Sigma 150-500mm f/5-6.3 AF APO DG OS HSM Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon Digital SLR Cameras Feature

  • Incorporating Sigma's original OS (Optical Stabilizer) function
  • An ultra-telephoto zoom lens covers a telephoto range up to 500mm and allows short perspective
  • Three SLD glass elements and a rear focus system provide optimum image quality throughout the entire zoom range
  • Super multi-layer coating reduces flare and ghosting

The Sigma 150-500mm ultra-telephoto zoom lens covers a telephoto range of up to 500mm, letting you bring almost any subject close for short-perspective shots. The lens employs Sigma's original Optical Stabilizer (OS) function, which gives you access to shutter speeds approximately four stops slower without blurring the image. As a result, you can capture low-light, long-distance shots such as football plays, wildlife profiles, and landscape scenes without using a tripod for each photo. In addition, the lens incorporates a Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) for quick, high-speed autofocusing, along with a rear focus system that guarantees optimum image quality throughout the entire zoom range. And photographers will love the three special low dispersion (SLD) glass elements, which correct for chromatic aberration, and the super multilayer lens coating, which reduces flare and ghosting. Other details include an option for full-time manual focusing, a close focusing distance of 86.6 inches, and an 86mm filter size. Compatible with optional 1.4x and 2x tele converters--which produce a 210-700mm length or 300-1000mm length respectively--the Sigma 150-500mm lens carries a one-year warranty.

  • Optical Stabilization: Sigma's own OS System.
  • Sony & Pentax: Original Anti-Shake function for camera body and viewfinder
  • Inner Focusing System: Eliminates front lens rotation; suitable for use w/circular polarizing filters
  • Compact, Telephoto Zoom Lens
  • High Image Quality: SLD glass elements with inner focusing
This compact high-performance telephoto zoom lens incorporates Sigma’s own Optical Stabilizer function. The lens incorporates SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass in the front lens groups and is equipped with an inner focusing system to provide high image quality throughout the entire zoom range. The incorporation of HSM (Hyper-Sonic Motor) ensures quiet and high-speed auto focus. The OS (Optical Stabilizer) function effectively eliminates the effects of camera shake so subjects can be easily and clearly seen in the viewfinder as well as in the image. It allows the use of shutter speeds up to 4 stops slower than normal for steady, handheld photography. For Sony and Pentax mounts the built-in OS System allows the photographer to see the stabilized image in the viewfinder and can be used as an alternative with cameras having built-in image stabilization. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting and provides high contrast images throughout the entire zoom range. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 43.3inches (110cm) throughout the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:4.5. An inner focusing system eliminates front lens rotation, making it suitable for use with circular polarizing filters.
